Fingerboard Farm Celebrates Its Fourth Year of Cultivation

Fingerboard Farm is celebrating its fourth year of cultivating organic hemp in Frederick County, Maryland.
CEO, Dawn Gordon who owns and operates Fingerboard Farm Market says, “We have plans to expand our extraction and formulation lab right here on our 25-acre hemp farm. We continue to formulate new CBD and Delta-8 products and explore different avenues daily to reach new local and national customers.”
In April, Fingerboard Farm joined Leafly as a recreational CBD storefront after opening a physical store on the farm. Online orders can be picked up at the farm. The Well House — as it is now commonly referred to — is open Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the summer offering customers a first-hand experience to the cultivation process on the farm.
“Right now, we are doubling the orders of our first 10 customers who purchase through Leafly and leave a review,” Dawn explains.

Along with apps like Leafly, Fingerboard Farm has expanded its online community by joining social media platforms such as: Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and TikTok (new videos coming soon!) all within the last month. “Advertising on social media has been challenging, but we are slowly gaining new followers. We created a Facebook Group called “Fingerboard Farm Market Club” which has become a beneficial space for us to talk about our best-selling CBD products and advertise weekly promotions,” says Gordon.

Currently, our ‘Adopt a Hemp Plant Program’ is gaining in popularity as it enables Maryland farmers to grow hemp, clean the air, and invest in the environment,” says Dawn. "Personal and Corporate sponsorships are available through our website." Several Maryland businesses that participated in the 2021 'Adopt a Hemp Plant Program' included: Sage Cakery, Pet and Home Care LLC, The Great Green Goat, Rose Glow Tea Room, Plato’s Closet, The Pleasant Pet, Hemp Logic, Hippy Chick Hummus, Sassy Beach Wear on the Boardwalk, and The Common Market Co-op. More information about adopting a hemp plant during the 2022 harvest season can be found here.
The Fingerboard Farm team is growing, too, in its fourth year. “We are currently looking for a Director of Sales to spread the love of our amazing products,” says Gordon. "Educating the public, formulating new CBD products, and getting wholesale products on the shelves in Maryland Cannabis dispensaries continues to be our highest priorities." Currently, Fingerboard Farm products can be found at the following dispensaries: Sweet Buds, Kannavis, Grow West, Potomac Holistics, Peake RELeaf, and 202 Bayside.
Enthusiasm for recreational cannabis legalization continues to grow as Marylander’s will get to vote this November. “We are eager to expand our wide variety of Maryland-made CBD products, and we look forward to offering products with a higher THC content in the years to come!"
