CDB Over-The-Counter Anxiety Relief?

The Controversial Medicine with Promising Results.

Being one of the 6.8 million Americans who suffer from generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) can be debilitating in many ways. Not only does the disorder make daily tasks difficult, but trying to find relief from symptoms can prove to be the biggest challenge of all. One can spend hours trying to just be seen by a doctor for recommendations on what can help. However, there is a controversial plant medicine that may be exactly what you need to calm your racing thoughts.

CBD, a hemp-derived molecule, has been showing scientists that it may be able to help people find relief from their GAD. Scientists now know that CBD plays on receptors in our brains that help with emotional regulation, and have found that the results for CBD and anxiety are among the strongest results of any CBD-related research (Fiani B et al, 2020).

CBD comes from the hemp plant. When people hear ‘hemp plant’ they think of marijuana. However, the two plants are like cousins to one another. CBD, unlike THC, does not give the user any euphoric side effects. These are the two big differences between CBD and THC. On the side of legality, CBD is legal in all states. This means we are able to purchase CBD products with simple proof of age!

With this in mind, it is always important to consult your doctor before you try CBD. If CBD is right for you, it is also a good idea to know where your CBD is coming from. Things like certificates of analysis by third-party labs on CBD products are a good way to verify that a company is reliable. Anxiety relief could be right around the corner for many Americans.
